For whom intended: This program is for test laboratory managers, engineers and technicians primarily involved with the environments of vibration and shock. It is designed to serve the needs of personnel in a wide range of industries where equipment problems may be encountered during the shipment and use of their product. It is also useful for packaging designers, quality and reliability specialists and acquisition personnel in government and military activities, and their contractors. Instrumentation specialists who measure transportation, service and laboratory vibration shock pursue this program. Personnel involved with vibration and shock calibration of accelerometers and systems will benefit. Project personnel, structure and packaging engineers learn about developmental shock testing. Product assurance and acquisition specialists learn to evaluate vibration and shock test facilities and methods, and to interpret test specifications. This program is designed to serve the varied needs of scientists, engineers, aides and senior technicians. Participants will be exposed to basic electronics, fundamentals of vibration testing, mechanical shock, test instrumentation, data acquisition, vibration and shock test control techniques and environmental test specifications.
